Premium organic mill - organic quality that the name promises.

100% organic flour from one of the most modern organic mills in Austria

The premium organic mill stands for the best and purest flour from Upper Austria. In the traditional organic mill in St. Martin im Innkreis, 100% Austrian grain is gently and professionally ground into GMO-free organic flour. The high-quality flour produced is of the highest organic quality, which is guaranteed by the organic seal of approval and the AMA organic seal. All purchased raw materials can be traced back to the farmer.

Quality, regionality and sustainability across the board

The organic mill was founded by one of the most important and largest mills in Austria - the Haberfellner mill (Grieskirchen / Upper Austria) and the Furthner mill (St. Martin / Upper Austria) for the production of 100% organic flour. Only premium Austrian organic grain is ground in the premium organic mill.

Before the grain is ground, each grain goes through a sophisticated test procedure, where the grain is checked for the correct surface condition, mold growth and color defects. In the in-house laboratory, quality analyzes are carried out on the purchased raw materials up to the flour produced. Every grain delivery is checked for pollutant residues without exception. This means that only the best high-quality organic grain is ground.

The Premium Biomühle has been IFS certified since December 2009. Further certifications such as the AMA organic seal of approval and the organic seal of approval attest to the high quality standard.

Interesting facts about cereals and flour

Pure flour for fine baked goods - best grain and gentle grinding process

Flour can be obtained from a variety of cereals - including wheat, spelled, rye, oats, rice, millet and wild rice. Flour can also be made from pseudo cereals such as quinoa, amaranth, maize and buckwheat. Not every flour is suitable for every purpose. Bread can make only from bread cereals, which include rye flour, wheat flour and spelled flour.

The degree of grinding indicates how much of the outer peripheral layers of the grain is also ground, which contains important minerals and vitamins. The most important nutrients are in the outer dark shell and decrease to the light, inner flour body. That is why dark flour, like rye flour, is also healthier than light flour.
